A couple of CodeBass Radio broadcast events have been added to the cf.Objective 2012 schedule. We’re pleased to say that both the Runtime Expectations crew and the CFHour() Podcast team will be recording their podcasts live on site again this year.. both teams in their entirety.

Refynr is a fellow Media Partner for cf.Objective this year, so we’re combining our efforts to add a custom CodeBass Radio player to the #cfobjective control panel they have in the works. You’ll be able to monitor the situation while you soak up knowledge and mingle with friends old and new.

BoFs and Lightning Talks

While you are at the cf.Objective website, be sure to do all of the following:

  • Suggest and/or vote for Birds Of A Feather (BoF) topics at engage.cfobjective.com.
  • Submit to give a Lightning Talk! Lightning Talks are approximately 6 minutes each, and all attendees are welcome to participate.

The Lightning Talks remain one of the most popular cf.Objective() events from year to year. ANYONE can give a Lightning Talk, and the subject does not have to be technology related. If you want to tell the community about something about yourself or teach them about an alternative topic that interests you, now is the time!

You will provide a presentation consisting of 20 slides. Your host, Bob Silverberg, sets it up on a provided machine to auto-advance every 20 seconds. You don’t have to do anything other than try to keep the timing correct. Giving a preso can’t get any easier than this.. right?

Check out these Lightning Talks from cf.Objective() 2011 :

Ben Nadel speaks on love and self actualization. You’ll get misty-eyed around 4 minutes in..

Jim Priest speaks on motorcycles and safety..

And, for your listening pleasure, here are the Lightning Talks from last year in their entirety!
