Simply open your iTunes preferences and select Radio within the General settings. That’s it! An icon like the one circled on the left should now appear.
Click the newly created Radio icon, and let the fun begin! First, go into the Classic Rock genre and find CodeBass Radio. Double-click it to tune in!
You can create a playlist and start adding your favorite stations to it just like you would to playlist your favorite songs. Whereas the Radio directory itself is unsearchable, a playlist will allow you to search up your favorite stations as your list grows. You can open the playlist in a new window, etc.
I recommend you explore beyond your favorite genres. Unfortunately, iTunes sometimes forces stations to get a little too granular when specifying a genre. For instance, CodeBass Radio plays ALL kinds of Rock within our 24/7 rotation! We’re not quite Heavy Metal.. not quite Classic Rock. Alas, I had to pick one. I went with the more popular Classic Rock. When individual broadcasters are running the show during the week, we often abandon the Rock genre completely.
Make it a little bit of an adventure to see what’s buried in there. Besides, you should you always endeavor to broaden your musical horizons. It truly enriches the mind and the spirit.
If you find radio stations worth playlisting.. look them up and let them know. Support them if you can. True stations run with love and care by humans who enjoy interacting with listeners could all too easily become a dying breed in the face of on-demand applications.
